I am a woman living in San Francisco. My job - which i love - is working as a case manager in a homeless shelter. My sweetie is S., we live together in a tiny apt near the beach. I found live journal through looking for a support resource for partners of people of transitional gender; i need to learn from other's experience, and share my own as my beloved goes through a gender transition from being my boyfriend to being my girlfriend, or, settles for coasting somewhere in between. This is new to me, i am happy and in love after almost a year - but still get confused and try to be as supportive as i can.
My work is hugely stressful and challenging - takes up a lot of time, which is usually o.k. To balance all this out i am learning muy thai (traditional kick boxing), running a little - when i can get myself out of bed early enough - j.
